Maine is beautiful, it's like going back a couple of decades and you get nostalgia. The outdoor scenery is dreamy and magnificent. The architecture is so interesting and cute, the barns and the additions to houses are a recurring theme. The libraries, everyone I passed looked like the most beautiful, architectural delight. It is breathtaking, it is relaxing, it's very much geared to suit families. The water is cold but that doesn't deter from a wonderful beach day. Lots of ice creams shops with homemade, quirky flavor combinations and worth their own food tour. And then there's the LOBSTER, enough said! I was shocked by the the lovely bountiful gardens everywhere given their short season for good weather. I loved family beach days, my favorite beaches were: Echo Lake Acadia, York Beach and Ogunquit Beach. Old Orchard looked pretty fun when I drove by.

Tide pooling, carriage rides, lighthouses, boat tours. I will say a nice hot tub and heated pool come in handy because it's a tad chilly up there. The food and atmosphere are trendy and clean, friendly, good spirited, family atmosphere.

I would love to help you plan your perfect Maine getaway!

I started in Sedona, how do you top that? It's breathtakingly beautiful, tons of hiking, biking, swimming holes, golf, Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, Cathedral Rock and Chapel Cross, some of Sedona’s famous rocks and vortex sites, all located in town. Twenty five minutes drive up the West Fork area, part of the Coconino National Forest which is a beautiful picturesque trail. You will cross many creeks, swimming spots and ends at one of Sedona's vortexes. They say this is Sedona's most bio diverse location and contains more varieties of vegetation then any other location in the state.Sedona is a really great base for those wanting to visit the Grand Canyon. Ahh, that's how you top it , the Grand Canyon! The scenery and history available along the two hour drive make it an easy decision. Arizona has so many great towns, that make it a great vacation destination and easy to fill up up time here.
